چکیده

The main aim of this study was to perform an integrative review on the enhanced bone healing by combining a flowable (injectable) platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) and graft porous materials. A bibliographical search carried out several databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, Scopus, Web Science) for relevant studies combined effect substitutes healing. chemical, biologic, physical properties PRF with biomaterials were discussed in review. repair different defects reported such as alveolar cleft reconstruction, sinus floor elevation, socket preservation, jaw defects, impacted teeth. Regarding evaluating results showed potential benefits enhance formation when mixed autogenous graft. Two preservation found growth substitutes, although one similar or without substitutes. Also, addition demineralized bovine mineral improved defects. No synergistic associated particulate elevation. combination materials revealed significant outcomes compared solely use In applied comparison PRF. On reconstruction larger can be low resorption rate material maintain biological mechanical stability into defect. fact, appear exhibit during tissue

Obtention of injectable platelets rich-fibrin (i-PRF) and its polymerization with bone graft: technical note.

The use of autologous platelet concentrates, represent a promising and innovator tools in the medicine and dentistry today. The goal is to accelerate hard and soft tissue healing. Among them, the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is the main alternative for use in liquid form (injectable). These injectable form of platelet concentrates are often used in regenerative procedures and demonstrate good res...

Evaluation of intrabony defects treated with platelet-rich fibrin or autogenous bone graft: A comparative analysis

OBJECTIVE The primary objective of this study was to compare clinically and radiographically the efficacy of autologous platelet rich fibrin (PRF) and autogenous bone graft (ABG) obtained using bone scrapper in the treatment of intrabony periodontal defects. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-eight intrabony defects (IBDs) were treated with either open flap debridement (OFD) with PRF or OFD with AB...

Conversion from Platelet-Rich Plasma Platelet Production to Buffy Coat Platelet Component Production: Benefits and Limitations

Blood transfusion centers are under considerable pressure to produce platelet concentrates with high quality and safety due to the short shelf life of 3-5 days as well as possible bacterial and viral contaminations. For a variety of reasons, many Europeans have changed their methods of component production from whole blood using the North American standard platelet-rich plasma method to the buf...
